Our Rainbow Tree Preschool Framework is inspired by The Reggio Emilia and Project-Based approach which aims to promote curious learners with teachers who will guide the children on their journey towards self-discovery and exploration of the world around them.

Philosophy

Curriculum Framework

Based on our Pedagogy Approach, we created a framework to help us better support our children to become the curious learners they are. This framework is adapted from iTeach Principles.

Integrated

Approach to Learning

Teachers will intentionally plan learning experiences to provide children with holistic learning opportunities. This will be done by our integrated curriculum that ties children’s academic development to their exploration of themes each term.

Authentic learning

through quality interactions

Children will engage in cooperative learning in an environment that encourages purposeful and meaningful learning opportunities. Teachers will arrange the environment with materials to encourage discussion and allow time to do so as well.

Teachers as

Facilitators of Learning 

Based on our integrated curriculum of Reggio Emilia & Project-Based approaches, teachers take on the role of a facilitator, guiding children’s learning experiences. Teachers will instead be involved more towards assessing the children and their learning and development.

Children as constructors of knowledge

Supporting our integrated curriculum based on Reggio Emilia & Project-Based approaches, teachers will have lesson plans that cater to children’s interests and allow exploration of the chosen topics.
